Ways to improve your diet

Anyone who has worked or still working in an office environment knows how bad it is to lose weight & yet maintain a healthy weight. You think that it's pretty impossible to lose weight when you spend almost 7 hours sitting down in office & you're too lazy to get your ass moving in the gym after working hours. But the truth is in order to lose/maintain your weight, you really need to have a healthy diet during working hours & start some evening activities.

For healthy eating habits, a few tips here.

Breakfast is a must
To get your day started, breakfast is an important meal of the day. It helps your mind and body to function well & boost your metabolism to burn more calories. Have a heavy breakfast keeping yourself full which is equivalent to less snacking.

Get out during lunch hours
Alot of you tend to feel tired in the day & will wanna stay in office to nap or the worst scenario is that you're just plain lazy to walk under the sun. In fact if you get out of office during hours, you spent 1st 30mins on lunch & the rest of the 30mins having a brisk walk. This is just 1 of the method to get yourself ready for evening activities.

Snacks after lunch?
If you really need to snack after lunch, instead of those peanuts and tidbits why not replace them with fruits? Especially apples, they will hold you till dinner & good enough to help people like us who's weight conscious.

Evening activities
If you're really that lazy to hit the gym after work, you could avoid the lift & take the stairs. While you're home you could also do some housework to work it out. Here's a list of how much calories you can burn off while doing housework.

Vacuuming - 75 – 125 calories
Mopping Floors - 193.7 calories
Ironing - 113.1 calories
Cleaning Windows - 180.3 calories
Walking up & down stairs - 516.3 calories

By doing all these, you could easily burn off 1000 calories in an evening & you can get everything done. Isn't that great? :)

Dinner is a trap
If you're having dinner at home, you can use a salad plate instead of a dinner plate. That will ensure you will smaller servings of food. Fill half your plate with veggies. Avoid taking heavy carbs dinner, if you really dislike the idea of having leftover food on your plate. You should also try to have dinner 4 hours before you turn in. The food in your body needs at least 4 hours to breakdown else it'd turn into fats. Drink more water, it aids in digestion, has no calories & benefits every system in the body.
